Principal's Post

October is here, and our Roadrunners are focusing on perseverance. Across our school, students are practicing what it means to keep going when something feels difficult trying a new strategy in math, working through a challenging word while reading, or asking for help and trying again. We’ll be recognizing students who show perseverance throughout the month. At home, you can help by asking your child, “What was something hard today, and what did you do to keep going?”

Thank you to all our families for understanding our Jog-A-Thon Fundrainer sponsored by PTA  needed to be delayed based on the weather.  We will be running the event on Oct. 2nd. This event is only open to volunteers that are cleared by APS and have signed up to help with this event. Here is the current schedule: 

Kinder - 9:30 -10:30 a.m. (on the center of the field this year!)

1st Grade – 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

2nd Grade – 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

3rd Grade – 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

4th Grade – 10:40 - 11:40 a.m.

5th Grade – 10:40 - 11:40 a.m.

We also look forward to seeing our amazing families at the PTA sponsored Fall Bash on Friday, October 23, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. It will be a wonderful chance to come together as a school community for this free event. There will be several food trucks on site this night for anyone wishing to purchase a meal or snack.

Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for Open House! It was wonderful welcoming everyone to campus and providing an opportunity to visit classrooms, meet staff, and learn more about the exciting year ahead.

A special thank-you goes to our PTA for generously providing the funds for the food. Your continued support helps make events like this possible for our school community.

Orders and payment is due no later than August 28th for round 1. We are hoping to get the order back by mid/late-September.

Profits from this school-wide fundraiser will benefit 70% general student account 20% admin account 10% facility account.
