We are excited to bring back the Bikes for Books reading incentive program at San Antonito, thanks to the generous support of the Edgewood Mason Lodge No. 82.
March 2 – May 3, 2026
Open to All Grades
How Bikes for Books Works:
Students will track the number of pages or minutes they read each day. They should record this information on a reading log and submit it weekly to their classroom teacher. To complete a log, students must read at least 4 out of 7 days. For each completed reading log, the student’s name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of the donated bikes. Students can submit one reading log per week. If your child’s classroom teacher uses a reading log as part of their weekly homework, they may use that log instead.
Eligible Reading Activities Include:
- Silent reading by the student
- Reading aloud to someone
- Listening to a book on CD, Play-a-Way, Kindle, Sora, etc.
- Listening to a book or story read to the student
Where to Find Reading Logs:
Bikes for Books reading logs are available at the San Antonito Library, from your child’s classroom teacher, or can be downloaded from one of the links below:
